TOKYO—February 15, 2011—NetSTAR, Inc., Japan’s premier developer of URL filtering product technologies and services, today announced the March 2011 release of new administrative features for the NetSTAR Business Browser powered by Yahoo! JAPAN, an enterprise browser service for iPhones and iPads released in December 2010. These administrative features give the service greater flexibility to meet the diverse needs of different enterprises.

The Business Browser is an enterprise-class filtering service that combines a browser app for iPhones and iPads with a URL list and a cloud service platform. Through the introduction of this service, system administrators can centrally manage the iPhones and iPads used by employees to prevent them from viewing non work-related sites or connecting to sites that may pose a security risk. NetSTAR introduced this service in December 2010, and following the initial app for the iPad, another for the iPhone was released ahead of schedule in December.

In response to the needs of our corporate clients, NetSTAR has added more administration features to be released in March of this year. The following is a list of the newly added features for system administrators.

(1) Access log search
(2) Increased number of URL exceptions
(3) Access restriction using white lists

The Business Browser service is grabbing the attention of the increasing number of companies using the smartphone and tablet computers because they recognize it as an indispensable information management solution. NetSTAR will continue to respond to the needs of users by actively expanding service features and operating environments.
